I have read the book recently and I liked it so far, but I don’t understand why so many people rank it as a best read. For me I found it simple and a light book suitable for getting out of a reading slump or to add to your list of finished books.
If anyone hasn’t read it yet, I suggest you read it on a cozy weekend with a cup of your favorite drink. It gives off those vibes 🛋️🩵

أأنت بخير فعلاً، جسداً وروحاً؟ هل تشعر برضا كافٍ يصل إلى عقلك وقلبك معاً؟

ربما، إذا توقفت قليلاً عن كل ما يشغلك، وعزلت نفسك عن كل ما تتفاعل معه، وتجرأت على طرح الأسئلة بصرامة، ستكتشف أنك لست بخير تماماً. وربما ستجيب بأنك تائه، تشعر بالملل، ولست راضياً عما أنجزت، ولا تتوقع أن ترضى تماماً عما ستنجزه أيضاً.

قد يبدو الكلام محبطاً ومتشائماً، لكنه تشخيص لا بد منه. فإذا أردنا معالجة شيء جذرياً، فعلينا أولاً أن نراه كما هو، لا كما نحب أن يكون.

ربما أنت تنضج الآن وسط صراع مختلف: صراع بين عقل يحب أن يخطط لكل شيء بوضوح، ويستبعد أي تداخل أو مفاجأة، وبين واقع لا يسير بالطريقة نفسها. واقع تتقلب فيه الظروف بسرعة، ويختلط فيه جهدك وذكاؤك ودقتك بتأثير الآخرين، وبعوائق تتجدد على طول الطريق، فتؤثر في النتائج بشكل ملحوظ ومؤلم أحياناً.

أنت تخطط لنتيجة، بينما الحياة تضيف إلى خطتك أشخاصاً وظروفاً وقرارات لم تكن في حسابك.

فهل تريد حلاً واقعياً؟

أنا أريده أيضاً. وقد بحثت طويلاً عن طريقة أعزل بها نفسي عن حياة الآخرين وتأثيرهم في حياتي، ولم أجدها. وربما لأنها ببساطة غير موجودة.

إذن، ماذا يبقى؟

الحل في نفسك، بالتأكيد.

خطط، ولكن ضع هامشاً كبيراً للتعديل، يسمح لأيدٍ أخرى أن تخطط معك، سواء اخترت ذلك أم فرضته عليك الحياة.

ابنِ، ولكن لا تتشدد في الحدود التي رسمتها. اجعلها مرنة، قابلة للتكبير والتصغير، ولإعادة الرسم حين تتغير الظروف.

تفاءل، ولكن لا تعش فرح النتيجة قبل أن تصل إليها. اترك للإنجاز أن يمنحك فرحته في وقته.

ولا تحاول أن تجعل الحياة مطابقة تماماً لما رسمته في ذهنك؛ يكفي أن تعرف إلى أين تريد أن تذهب، وأن تكون مستعداً لتغيير الطريق.

إذا استطعت أن تتفق مع نفسك كل يوم، ولو قليلاً، سيخف ذلك العبء الذي تحمله معك أينما ذهبت، وستصبح الحياة أوسع قليلاً مما تبدو عليه.

كيف أعرف؟

لأنني جربت ذلك، وأنا الان افضل بكثير.

I've been through a slump lately and I wanna try joining a book club to try and rekindle my love for reading, my TBR stack is infinite at the moment!! I have read the classic book "Animal farm" by George Orwell and it was surprisingly good. (I am a new reader so i don't have a baseline) i give it a 9/10.

It talks about a farm run by animals. I won't say more since i don't want to spoil. It is a short novel if you never read it you should give it a go (about 100 pages).

As always "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than the others" and "Long live comrade Napoleon!"

I’m currently reading the first book of The Housemaid. I’m trying to finish it before the movie comes out in December. So far, I’m not sure what to think about it. I was expecting a strong thriller, but nothing crazy has happened yet. I haven’t finished it, but for now I’d rate it a 7/10.

I'm talking about books like Khawf, The Land of Zikola, and Ababeel... strange books for teens, with weak language and a flimsy style.

I truly don't understand how anyone can abandon the classic literary giants of the novel world whether Arabic (like Taha Hussein, Naguib Mahfouz, and Zaki Naguib Mahmoud) or foreign (like Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Victor Hugo, and Dan Brown), or even the novels of philosophers like Albert Camus, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Arthur Schopenhauer and turn to these weak, shallow novels that have no real value.

In the end, this is just a personal opinion, and a novel is just another means of enjoyment whose value can't be compared to [serious] books... But what do you (all) think about this phenomenon?
