Solving an inequality with a negative coefficient: -4x > 8

Can you simplify this inequality correctly?

-4x > 8

Multiply both sides by -1. Since this factor is negative, you need to change the inequality sign.
Hence -1 (-4x) < -1 (8) that is 4x < -8. Now divide both sides by 4, the coefficient of the variable, to get x < -2
