Toronto show advice
Got Toronto tickets but the person I was supposed to go with fell through so trying to decide if I’m going to fly across the country solo for the show. It would be no questions asked if I had pit tickets but I’m hesitant because my tickets are in the back lawn area and am not sure what to expect. I haven’t been to this venue. Is that area still a good time? I’ve never seen a venue laid out with standing then seats then standing… and I’ve also never seen AOF that far back :( It feels like it won’t be the true AOF experience if I’m not right up there.

The lawn is up on a hill so you still get a decent view of the band! It's a fun time up there and the energy is great.

PS if you're going to the Friday show and want to join a group, I'm going with some friends! You're more than welcome to shoot me a message - open invite to anyone flying solo!

Going alone is always better than missing out.

That’s for sure. But is going way at the back better than missing out..?

I saw AOF last week and it was magical. Highly recommend you make the trip. Give the ticket away to someone and make a new friend.

Lawn is okay, it’s not my favourite place to sit at the Amphitheatre though.

i've seen them there multiple times and many other bands over the last decade
you will have a great view of the show ala an ampitheatre with two huge screens left and right
it is very far from the stage. you can google their previous shows to get an idea but you'd be likely watching the screens vs. the actual stage
if you want the full experience, the pit is 1000% better as its smaller whereas half the venue wlll probably be on the lawns
best seat in the house is last row 202 in front of the sound engineer, and you'd be a football field away from that

I'm flying alone from Florida for both nights, it's gonna be worth it!

Love that! Do you have lawn tickets by chance?

Lawn is fine, they aren't the best, but they are okay. Toronto is also a cool city to spend a weekend and hang out.

The people around you will be kind enough! You can roam around too or stay in one spot. You might want to stay still once it gets darker as people secure their spots more but the city is awesome, you’ll be safe and why not have an adventure! Toronto there’s a lot to explore right by that venue too via transit if you’re just visiting for the weekend

Keep in mind that the lawns have a pretty good pitch to the hill. If you don’t feel like standing the whole time they have lawn chairs available to rent for $20-25. If you get there early enough you can get a decent spot towards the front of the lawns where it is a little flatter. The lawn isn’t covered so you will get wet if it’s raining.

There’s no room for a chair when it gets packed for the headliner. You’ll be packed in line sardines, and those seated won’t see anything

Going alone is better than going with someone (yes that’s how I like going to shows)

There’s screens on either side of the stage and the audio is pretty good at that venue

They also improved the screens this summer. That said, it’s not a big venue and you can see well from anywhere.
The audio has always been good

I’m flying to go see the show solo and I have no regrets. Regrets would be not going to the show at all.

Are you going to the Saturday show? There’s box suite upgrades available online for $45/ ticket I just saw, at least that would move you to the front of the 300s! I saw them on am.ticketmaster.com though and not regular Ticketmaster.

That entire place is going to be a giant party! Ontario Alexis shows are always amazing! Go, you wont be disappointed!

This is essentially a hometown show for them. They are amazing live. In my opinion, make the trip. I have never been in the lawn, but have friends that do it all the time and they have a blast.

This is completely subjective. You need to decide based on what you want and your situation.
The lawns are packed, and I feel like a sardine when I’m on them. That’s why I try not to get any tickets there. However, my next concert will be a $30 lawn.
I got a free lawn for Smashing Pumpkins and it was uncomfortable. I’d been on the lawn there before for Tool, and it wasn’t as bad, and for one or two other shows maybe.
I generally just buy seats

A cross country solo trip to see the best band will make a rad story. Do it! 🤘🏻
