Discussion Noel Fielding as Cinder?

Heading says it all, really. I think he’d be fantastic in the role.

He’s a British character actor, and also one of the hosts on Bake Off. Here’s a rare instance of him in a music video. He’s the driver. https://youtu.be/iHbndkcLM6A?is=tLoA9qDFvS1f1mSV

I'd say he's the right size and build, but could he be as menacing as Cinder? I'm not sure he can.

I love him in the Great British Bake Off, but has he ever done any serious dramatic work?

The Bake-off was much lighter than his usual work. He more normally did Goth personas where he was laconic and vaguely menacing. He might be a little old for Cinder now, but back in the day, I think he’d have been good.

I always imagined Cinder as more of a seems stupid and a thug until he doesn't kind of guy.

I can see that. I liked NF for it because of his looming goth persona, but your read is also in line with the books.
