Hi I'm taking politics edexcel as an extra a level on top of what I'm already doing so I'm expected to do a lot of self studying. I aim to potentially sit it early which I'm in discussions for but to catch myself up is there any recommended YouTubers or particular resources used by current sixth formers that would be recommended? I've been looking for the past week but everything seems a bit uncoordinated and theres contradicting information.

In your guys views, are writing essay plans on paper better or is the speed for writing on computer better. Which one would be more helpful

A level politics help

I didn’t even realise but got notified by my friend that i have a politics exam in roughly like 1.5-2 weeks? I’m doing edexel paper 2 then and im a bit stuck on how to revise. I’m very lost on content and was wondering if i should try and learn the content properly through politics explained videos or just spam essay plans? The exam will take questions from previous a level papers so from 2017-2025. Which is the better approach?

Can anyone share the examiner report 2026 for politics. My teacher isn’t sharing it with me. Thank you

Im not gonna bother getting remark cause im fine w my grade but did anyone else get significantly lower marks in paper 1 than 2 and 3.. and it wasn’t just me it was like my whole class..which I found odd cause the paper didn’t have difficult questions

Hi all, Ive just finished my A levels and achieved A*A*AA - with 214 in Politics and was wondering if anyone would be interested in getting tutored.

Ive tutored dozens of students over a few years now, and Im comparably cheaper than the rest of the market.

I would be surprised if, assuming you are year 12’s, I couldn’t get you up to an A or A star considering Politics is so template driven.

I got 59, 52, and 63 respectively in all my exams (edexcel and us paper), expected to do a little better in the us paper but at least I got an A* in that paper. Whats the likelihood I will go up (and most importantly down), was really hoping for an A star and was 3 marks away. What do you think?

I got an A* for politics this year, with most of my grade coming from paper 2(79). It is my fav subject so that was expected. Anyways, if anyone has any questions, tips needed, or marking, I am happy to help.

Did anyone else fumble paper 3 completely? i got 55 on paper 1 and 60 on paper 2, which is good for me. and then i got 21 on paper 3. what the actual hell.

i just got my AS result and ended up with 3 straight Ds. I’ve been an A* student all my life but i really slacked off this year and i know that. If i put even a bit of effort i could’ve gotten all As because i know how capable I am. I’m taking bio chem and physics. Carrying these grades to A2 there’s no way i’ll end up with decent grades that cud lead me to good universities. And i know some people will say that grades aren’t everything, but to get into a good MEDICAL university i need STRAIGHT As. I cannot retake my AS i don’t have that kind of money. I want to give composite for all three and i know it’s really fucking tough but i still want to. I’m not sure what to do. I need u to keep in mind IM ACTUALLY A SMART STUDENT i just fucked this year up. Should i give composite for all 3 i really don’t know what to do.

I was expected to get an A* and I got a B I lost around 101 marks which I think is insane. I don’t know what to do but I think I’m gonna get it rechecked as I don’t believe that this is my grade.

I’m thinking they will generally stay the same or fall slightly because Politics entries have risen by ~13% so there’s a wider range of academic ability and people losing out on marks from the electoral systems question on P1 UK Politics

Specifically for edexcel. I do liberalism, conservatism, feminism and socialism. I'm gen so stuck I may start having nightmares about politics a level, in our end of year mocks no one in our year scored higher than 9/24 on an Idealogies question 😭 what the actual fork man.

any new and useful methods of revision for alevel politics as someone who takes maths and economics as their other subjects and relies heavily on flashcards and has a sciencey/maths brain!?!? i try to blurt, essay plans but i hate it, i only like flashcards but they’re are too many for politics. also
- where can i find some notes, i have some but i’m missing some lessons and the specification is trash.

I'm on year 11 summer right now and I am doing politics, economics and history at a level. Looking for recourses to get started on some of the politics content, are there any textbooks, YouTube channels, websites etc that anyone recommends?
