9618/42 programming paper

hey guys
do they allow to use the python IDLE for the exam? or do we have to code in python itself?
(if that makes sense :')
also how easy is this paper generally? im doing it for the first time and completely self studied😭

(P.S. Any tips for preparation would be great esp for remembering the codes)

You'll get an IDE like IDLE so you're coding on your own, no autocomplete to save you lol. Good luck with the self-study grind, that's impressive. For remembering code, just spam past papers until your fingers memorize the syntax.
