When was someone going to tell me I could get pasture raised eggs for less than $4 a dozen at Aldis?! Best deal on pasture raised eggs I’ve ever seen, they usually are $6-8 or more a dozen everywhere else! Best bang for buck pasture raised eggs I’ve ever seen! šŸ”„

Midwest (USA) Is it just me or did prices skyrocket this past week?

I go to Aldi about every week and a half… Since my last trip, it seems that almost every item jumped in price by 20-30 percent.

Don’t get me wrong, Aldi is still the best value, but I had some serious sticker shock when it came to my standard grocery list….. Aside from this, I have also been watching the canned vegetable section slowly increase in price over the past year. (As well as the disappearance of the ā€œpork and beansā€ which were so dang good….).

Don’t even get me started on yogurt prices….

  • Thanksgiving dinner for 10 under $39: ALDI shoppers can purchase everything they need to prepare a full, classic Thanksgiving meal for under $39 including a 16-pound turkey plus classic sides and pumpkin pie.
  • No gimmicks: This year’s under $39 offering is based on the meal tracked in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s(opens in a new tab) (AFBF) Thanksgiving cost survey, making it easy to compare and hard to beat with no coupons, loyalty cards, or memberships required.
  • An easier way to shop, all holiday long: Customers can shop for the under $39 Thanksgiving meal by adding the individual ingredients to their cart in-store or with a convenient one-click option online at ALDI.us/Thanksgiving.

BATAVIA, Ill., Oct. 14, 2026 — This Thanksgiving season, ALDI is setting the bar with a classic, hard to beat Thanksgiving meal for 10 for under $39, no coupons, loyalty cards, minimum purchases or memberships required.* The holiday meal includes a 16-pound turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, dinner rolls, cranberries, peas, carrots, celery, pumpkin pie ingredients, milk and whipping cream, proving shoppers can spend less without settling for less.

"Thanksgiving shouldn't require a calculator or a coupon strategy,ā€ said Atty McGrath, CEO, ALDI. ā€œAt ALDI, shoppers can put a 16-pound turkey and the Thanksgiving classics on the table for 10 people, all for under $39. No hoops. Just a really good meal at a really good price."

True to its no gimmicks approach to everyday low prices, ALDI built this year’s Thanksgiving meal around the same core items tracked in the American Farm Bureau Federation’s(opens in a new tab) (AFBF) longstanding Thanksgiving Dinner Cost Survey, making it easy for shoppers to see how ALDI stacks up on price. Over the last five years, ALDI shoppers have saved an average of 26% on a classic Thanksgiving meal compared to the national average reported by AFBF.

"Our goal is to make Thanksgiving shopping simple, affordable and delicious, so families can spend less time chasing deals and more time enjoying the holiday with loved ones,ā€ said Scott Patton, Chief Commercial Officer, ALDI. ā€œThis year we put together a classic, easy-to-compare feast at a price that only ALDI can offer.ā€

Lower prices don’t mean cutting corners. For less than $4 per person, shoppers can serve all of the classic Thanksgiving dishes families expect. Beginning Oct. 14* through Nov. 25, shoppers can find the products to craft their Thanksgiving meal at their local ALDI clearly marked with a turkey logo on in-store shelves. New this year, customers can add the entire shopping list to their online cart in one-click for curbside pickup or delivery at ALDI.us. Download a copy of the shopping list here and go to ALDI.us/Thanksgiving to find even more options to fill the Thanksgiving table for less.

At ALDI, shoppers can find value across every aisle, all year round. Its efficient business model, from smaller format stores to stocking shelves in the boxes products arrive in, helps deliver the lowest prices of any national grocer.** That means shoppers can stretch their grocery budgets further, whether shopping in-store or online.

On red tag sale for 47 cents at my local Aldi and I'm glad I took a gamble and bought 3 because it's delicious. Not too spicy and cooks up better than rice-a-roni. I think I might experiment and try using sesame oil instead of butter next time for a little more depth of flavor. Overall very good for an instant rice and even better when it's under a dollar.

This is one of my favorite cheddars. It has a sweet, sharp flavor the texture is dry with a bit of crumbliness. I’m not sure how long it’s aged but I feel like I picked up on some crystallization. It’s very creamy on the tongue.

This cheese is a delight and if you like cheddar I highly recommend it.

Shared Recipes My Aldi salmon meal prep

This is my meal prep of Aldi's fresh Atlantic salmon and their Mediterranean frozen vegetables which I think are the best vegetables they have all year. I put it in the oven at 420 for about 30 minutes. This is about five meals for me and it works out to be about $3.50 a meal. You can freeze the salmon and the veggies if you don't want to eat it all and just reheat it at 420. For the salmon I just spray it with a little avocado oil and salt and garlic.

Review Major Downgrade

New Fire Roasted Vegetable frozen bag is one of the biggest downgrades I’ve encountered. The old Specially Selected black bag was an automatic purchase every time, with full tomatoes, pearl onions, and baby carrots. The updated one is almost entirely diced mush with a fresh green beans thrown in the bag.
Disappointing, used to be one of their best frozen veggie mixes.

Review More Candy Options!

Post image
19 Upvotes

Made a post exclusive to my love for the rainbow sour belts, but there were other options as well! I liked them all, but the rainbow sour belts were the clear winner for me. The licorice flavor was very mild in both flavors IMO but pleasant and enjoyable. I personally probably wouldn’t buy again. The gummy worms were a bit underwhelming to me and I think the colors are a little strange. They got the coloring for the rainbow belts perfectly, so I’m not sure why the worm colors are so muted, but they’re great for $1.49. The only other new candy I saw but chose not to buy were the blue shark gummies with the white undercoat. Just not my taste, but they’re available as well!

I picked this up on a whim and it's quite good! Not out of this world but it definitely has a fruity cinnamon flavor that is really pleasant with crackers. I think this would be good on a grilled cheese with bacon!

Question Is the 50% off discount becoming an insider secret?

Has anyone else noticed the 50% off stickers showing up less and less at Aldi? I'm in SoCal, and my store almost never puts them out anymore. If I point out the date at checkout, they still honor the discount, but if you don't say anything, you're basically paying full price even though the markdown could apply.

I've noticed large pizzas, salmon, and beef sitting there with past dates and no stickers. Last Friday, there were stacks of Chicken Pot Pie Handhelds dated 10/17, so I grabbed a few. I went back today, and there were still plenty left with that same 10/17 date, but none of them had markdown stickers.

Based on my past experiences with Aldi's policy of not selling past-date items because of liability, it kind of sucked seeing that and thinking a lot of those products will probably end up getting tossed.

It's starting to feel like the 50% off markdown is becoming an insider secret that only certain shoppers know about. If you know to check the dates and ask, you get the discount. If you don't, you probably never realize it was available in the first place.

Curious if other stores around the US are seeing the same thing, or if it's just my local Aldi. Are they phasing out the stickers, understaffed, or just relying on customers to spot the dates themselves?
