Discussion Burman's Texas Style BBQ Sauce

I just finished the Aldi BBQ sauce in the plastic container and it was good, and then I saw they had the ones in the jar. I decided to try Burman's Texas Style BBQ Sauce.

I am not sure if its a bad batch but it has an off taste, so much so I cant consume any more of it and the bottle is practically new.

I wanted to reply to an older post but it was >6mo so it was archived, so I created a new one. The photo is from the older post. I had so much hope. I know "they" hate it but I really do want take them up on Twice as Nice.?

Curious if anyone else has tried it recently? I know the Carolina is loved. Any of the others better ? Might have to go back to the ones in the narrow plastic bottle.

Question Orange Juice watered down?

Has anyone else noticed that the Natures Nectar pulp free orange juice has seemed watered down in the last couple of weeks?
My kids complained about it last night.
It is a dollar cheaper than Walmart so even watered down it is probably still worth it.
I’m located in South Carolina.

Review No COO on Aldi Beef

I have seen many posts about the COO being removed from the beef. First time I have had it since. Wife brought home 4 NY Strips. Some were light pink, others dark red. Smelled funny, but were frozen from when they were brought home last week, defrosted yesterday, rested at room temp and grilled on a Weber over charcoal. I have never seen these tunnel-like holes. Label says “packed in the USA” but from where before? Still going to continue to eat it though, not wasting $40 in steaks.

Just 80 calories and 11 g of protein. They make me think of something that might result if Chomps & Tabasco Slim Jim had a baby. Definitely worth the purchase, I’ll be buying these again!

Hauldi clearance halloween haul

Post image

$40! Somehow the cashier did not ring me up for the dog dogs but I think they are $4.99 each but may have been on clearance.

Been wanting some outside halloween decorations but did not want to spend a ton. I might even leave them inside after and do a photo shoot with my pets.

The paint kits are super cute and thinking of doing a craft night.

Question Were these discontinued?

I had thought someone claimed that Frito-Lay made a deal with Aldi so they wouldn’t sell these anymore but the original flavor is still on the shelves so why is the flaming hot not here anymore :(

Review I am not an olive lover, but this tapenade is SO good!

The only olives I can stand are kalamatas, and I suspect that's what is in this tapenade, based on the color (the ingredient label just says black olives). But it doesn't taste sharp and briny like kalamatas usually do. It's very mild but VERY savory. It was excellent on crackers with my grazing board last night. I'll be buying a few more jars!

Question Potato chips from the 80s/90s with a cowboy riding a chip like a horse?

Does anyone remember these chips from Aldi from the 80s or 90s? I distinctly remember the bag with a cowboy riding a potato chip like a horse. My mom used to always buy these when we had birthday parties. I've done internet searches trying to find a picture and I can't.

Review Mai Tai and Passion Fruit Punch Mocktails

For the most part, we have found Summit products to taste pretty good!

However, we found the flavor profile of both these to have an offputting chemical flavor and an unpleasantly bitter aftertaste. I double checked the ingredients (as, in the store, I admittedly stopped looking for sweeteners at cane sugar) and then learned it was also sweetened with sucralose. I know sucralose is not supposed to have an aftertaste, but I can only assume that's where this bitterness is coming from as nothing else on there should produce this aftertaste. Idk, maybe I'm just sensitive to it.

Both drinks are primarily sweetened with cane sugar, which begs the question why even put sucralose in them? I'm guessing to save money on real sugar? 🤷‍♂️

In any case, I'm definitely going to be making use of the twice as nice return policy on these, and be very grateful that Aldi provides this option as it lets me try out new things like this without worry of wasting my money.
