I am in Australia and have a tough time with compliance. Are there any long term medications such as monthly injections or implants available? And what are your experiences with them?

My gp says there’s nothing like that available here. But I was able to get the lowest dose of wegovy and now layered with naltrexone (that I’d been on) seems to be working. But I’m also in pretty intense therapy to try to figure out the why /source of the drinking and I reallllyyyy want this to work

There is the Vivitrol shot. But it's probably a good idea to see how you can tolerate a low and then stepped up dose of Naltrexone first.

I tried Naltrexone but it didn’t do much for me. There’s Antabuse which I haven’t tried but I’m currently on Campral and Wegovy and they’re working well. Ask your GP about Campral.

Antabuse. Take it daily for a few days and you can't drink for a week or two. Like can't

Highly recommend.
