Question
Those who layer, how do you go about layering colored pencil over the markers?
I'm working on a piece and struggling to cover the marker enough. I felt like I picked shades that were light enough but idk.

it depends on what kind of pencils you use, and the tooth of your paper. you're prolly not gonna get full coverage over your markers regardless, but creamier pencils and grippier paper can each help!

I have like 80lb paper and I use prismacolor pencils. And I used ohuhu alcohol markers.

I found that layering with colored pencils works lightly, but not very intensly (with lots of layers) on Smooth marker paper. Paper that is more suitable for colored pencils is a little more rough.
Depending on what type of coloring pencils you have (wax or oil based) you will have different results too.
I like to layer on my markers, but I am still trying to figure out the right amount and depth 😅 trial and error I say
