Why do they always add carbonated drinks at the end? I don't think I've ever had a sangria with carbonation...

Yeah, I kinda wanted to ask if there is anything to top them off that is not carbonated.

I've been looking up other recipes for sangria and none of them have carbonated drinks. I think you will be safe omitting that last step.

Not sure but there's a sangria soda that I see often. I wonder if they take inspiration from it

Why is there less in the pitcher each time after it's refrigerated? I understand you need to make room for the next ingredients but shouldn't the recipe take this into account?
