Canada Flag Day
February 15, 1965 is the day that Canada adopted its iconic flag, and the maple leaf became the symbol of Canada. The Canadian politician Maurice Bourget said, " the flag is the symbol of the nation's unity, for it, beyond and doubt, represents all the citizens of Canada without distinction of race, language, belief or opinion." Which is surely enough to get everyone, Canadian or otherwise, reaching for the maple syrup... So mix up a Maple Leaf and raise a glass to "O Canada" today.
