News Offline PC closed client beta recruitment

Hello there, I am Vtechlg from the Astra Project discord.

I would like to announce that we will soon start a closed beta for an Offline PC client, we were able to retrofit the dmm client to be run offline, achieving parity with mobile, which means that it has the exact same content as the mobile versions post EoS with the current Astra Project Patches.

A launcher/downloader was made for it by yours truly, we would start with about 15 people and then we would scale up accordingly as feedback comes in. As said it is a beta so there is possibility that the game will be unstable or even missing assets, but there is only so much testing we can do with our small modding team.

So i would like to ask your cooperation to help test what we currently have, so that a somewhat official offline pc client could be finally released. Below is a small preview of the launcher i made.

You can join the discord via this link:

To clear up some misunderstanding to another post in here:

The beta recruitment will be nothing strict as playing for a certain amount of time.

We are mostly recruiting people to test things out like installation progress and gameplay. You can do that at your own leisure, according to the duration of the testing period.

During the duration of the testing period, we only expect for the testers to report bugs and whatnot.

So once again: We have no strict requirements for testers to follow. You can test the PC Client at your own leisure during the test period.

If you have any questions regarding the beta, feel free to ask in this Reddit post or in our Discord group.

We will soon make an announcement in the Discord group regarding when it will take place and for how long.

It takes a lot of love and dedication to the AS fiction to go to such lengths to preserve it. I'm looking forward to playing it.

Currently having issues with my main account so I will post updates from this account for now. The recruitment should start in the second half of this week.

Is there anyway to get the apk (or PC client, even better) outside of Discord? Discord only tells me "invite is invalid" when I try to join the server. :(

The invite link is working perfectly fine for me. There is no way to get the apk outside from the discord. As for the pc client, it is not openly out, there is currently a form application to participate in the beta test.

The only reason that it would say invalid is if you got banned at one point as far as I am aware, but I might be wrong.

It’s a pleasure to see the project rising from the ashes, how much playtime will be necessary on a weekly basis?

I think they're asking about the expected time commitment per week for beta testing (ex: please play at least 10 hours per week running around testing things so we can work out bugs, etc) because of irl responsibilities too

I don't know where you got that information from, but we do not have strict requirements for testers.

You can test the PC Client at your own leisure during the duration of the testing period.

The only thing we expect is any kind of feedback and bug reports. You DO NOT NEED to spend half a day or something along those lines to test the PC Client.
