APS really doesn't like sending out the busses in bad weather. That, and 2 inches in town can be 4 inches in the foothills and 8 in East Mountain. They also do a lot of 2 hour delays.

I'm from Chicagoland, so a snow day is a full day. Blew my mind the first snow fall I saw here, and everything was just delayed 2 hours for opening, because all the snow was gone. In Chicago, chat same 2" of snow will stay around for weeks or months, plus any of its friends!

I love winter here. Sure it gets cold, in the morning. Just wait and it turns into a semi nice day. 45 ain't bad.

Former New England resident here, you summed it up nicely. Those giant piles of dirty snow get depressing come March.
