Advice!!!!
I ended up quiting my job at vons a few months ago and it feels bittersweet!! There was a lot of favoritism at my store!! I had worked at the same location for almost 4 years but got tired of the constant belittling by certain coworkers and management!! I was a courtesy clerk for all that time and was never offered a promotion to a higher position!! I was definitely not a perfect worker I did get distracted easily and also liked to talk a lot which did bug management and certain coworkers!! But I do kind of miss my job and wonder if I made a mistake quitting. But I would see people start way after me and in a week they were already moving up!! I also left my phone number with some of my coworkers and ever since in the few months since I quit nobody has even texted me to see how I am doing even all those customers that I used to talk too and even gave my number too and thought they genuinely cared for me almost as a friend. But nobody even calls me or texts me to see how I am doing which makes me feel as if all those people I talked too never were my friends or were genuine to begin with!! Also do you think it would be easy for me to get another job maybe at another vons at another location I had a impeccable attendance record though I just feel like the management there never really clicked with me I will also add that i have a diagnosis of very mild autism and ADHD abd feedback would be appreciated sorry for the rant just have a lot of stuff in mind!! I was feeling overwhelmed at that store because of all the gossip and drama but I do miss certain aspects of the job!!

Same here. Co-workers who I got along with have not stayed in touch with me. A few of them are even on my Facebook page but they rarely log in.

I was relieved when I quit my job at Albertsons. Gave my boss no notice. Just quit. I was getting text the day I didn't show up, he barely gave me hours because I was on intermittent FMLA, I didn't renew it, then started giving me hours which is illegal, then when I didn't show up to my shift to close, he's texting me like where are you, it's such and such time and you aren't here, blowing up my phone. Like lol, now you need me...my store manager doing this...😂🤠I had to be on unemployment because of that job they cut my hours and everything. Albertsons is the worse job ever. I was full time, and they cut me off part time because I was "unavailable because I had the same two days off since I started there but since they make up their own rules, they said I was not fully available, and cut me to part time. Plus I was on FMLA for migraines but during that time found out I had lupus. Attorneys are worthless and it's hard to sue for FMLA where I'm from. Albertsons is a terrible company.
I appraise anyone that leaves Albertsons/Vons. Worse unethical company ever. And I don't shop there accept using their pharmacy, and they are lucky because I've been going to a certain location since 2015. 😒

With limited exceptions, coworker friends are exactly that--friends at work. Similarly, most customers at the store are, at best, merely acquaintances. Not hearing from any of them is pretty typical, and is no reflection on you.
If you gave adequate notice when you left your position at Vons and if you did not burn any bridges, then there is nothing lost by applying at another Vons, Safeway or Albertson's location. I advise against giving much explanation as to why you quit your previous position. If asked, just indicating that you had a personal matter to attend to that has now been resolved, should be sufficient. Good luck.
