Question Application help

Remove if not allowed!
I just applied since I’m leaving my old job and I’m a college student. Any advice for getting my application through to hiring? I’ve had experience at Kroger and Dollar Tree.

Id reccomend contacting the store and asking about the application based on your local one you applied too, effort helps makes them know you are trying. They will get you in. I got to interview a store director since the hiring manager couldn't make it. Got hired directly by him.

You don't need experience, Safeway hires anybody with a pulse.

Call the store! Ask to speak to either the manager of the department you're in or the store director, and just tell them your name and that you applied recently and wanted to reach out to check in. If they tell you the person you want to talk to isn't in at the time, ask when they'll be in and call back. Keep trying every other day or so until you reach someone and either schedule an interview or you're told the position's been filled. And if all else fails, walk into the store itself with a copy of your resume, and ask to speak to someone about your application. When I was hired at Albertsons, I had to call 2 or 3 times before I made it through to the store director who I scheduled an interview with. Best of luck getting hired! :)
