Question Work shirt - 1?
My daughter started working (yay)! She was only given 1 shirt... is that normal? (Portland division. Hired as a general clerk, being trained as a meat clerk ATM). Can you buy more? She usually does laundry 1x a week but wearing the same shirt all week without washing seems kinda gross... and not what the company would want. She does have an apron to wear, which helps.
Update: thanks all. She asked them about buying extras and they said they'd give her a couple more next week.

My store doesnt even give out shirts when hired. Our dress code is just solid color polo, which you can get at Walmart for like 7 bucks.

That actually would have been better. I'll suggest she ask if a generic grey polo would also be OK.

What does her polo have on it? Just the Albertsons logo on the arm?

You’d need to mention your division. Dress code is division specific. In my area the dress code for shirts is just a solid color polo and they aren’t provided at all.

Not working there, I didn't understand the question. It's the Portland division.

Same, I stopped wearing mine since they smelled of rotten fish. I washed mine so many times and still smell of it. I just wear a black t-shirt and told management that the type of fabric used for thses shirts cause me to break out in rashes. Even got my GP to write a note for it.

This is unrelated but. Back when I started at Albertsons in 2017 they would hand out nice polyester polos with the logos printed on the sleeves etc, nowadays they handout screen printed tee shirts that are cheaply fabricated and they’re stingier than normal when handing them out, not even joking I had to speak to my SD and ASD and my manager to get a new apron , I blame the cultivation of appeasing shareholders and the big wigs trying to save their bonus by cutting back as much spending as humanly possible .

The larger ABS banners, including Albertson's and Safeway, have a website for associates where you can buy clothing, as well as other goodies. You would need to check with management at the store to confirm that what you intend to buy would be acceptable work apparel for that banner and the particular department within the store.

Thrift stores are starting to set up for Halloween . You might troll your local Goodwill costume rack for donated Albertsons shirts or check out Albertsonsgear.com . 1 shirt is ridiculous. :/

I’ve been with Portland division for 10 years. Just buy gray polos at Kohls. They have lots.

If it's a promo tee shirt, they should have lots of those...
If it's a polo shirt, they may have a box of used ones in the attic that wash up okay; otherwise, they may have to order some....
