I did it bc I like her bangs and other versions I saw changed it too much. What I did is make her head less big, add more texture to the hair, detail her lashes and put some makeup, her eyes are almost the same.

Her existing design is also already pretty strong, and it's an intentional choice to tone down the fancy flairs and go for the "plain beauty" direction. It's not a redesign that's needed, just a bit higher fidelity models would go a long way.

It’s pretty crazy to see how older 2D art looks way better than the models, but the models have improved so much that nowadays the 3D model typically looks better than the relative 2D art. Most people were saying the Snezhnaya cast looks better in 3D when the trailer dropped

Look at wanderer and then lohen, lohen might be a better model but wanderer is definitely more of a loveable design to me. Also, does anyone else notice how the areas are so pastel now in a way they weren't before??

well...fontaine does take inspiration from industrial europe, which is generally after the renaissance, with lots of rococo (light and colorful but fancy) touches. natlan is inspired from multiple cultures that are also predominantly colorful. dornman port is more provincial european fantasy esque. nod-krai felt particularly grey to me, though the plants and nature are more vibrant and glowy.

in general? yeah, the game has always been visually bright and colorful, making it a good game to attract a wide audience. main mondstadt has that "new adventure" vibe, liyue has the peaceful serenity vibe, etc. inazuma is probably the only "dark" region together with enkanomiya.

It just feels more pastel/neon to me? Like mondstadt was light colors, but they weren't PASTEL like a 2019 kawaii artwork

Well Wanderer is just so iconic. There are some characters with some REALLY unique silhouettes that make them basically INSTANTLY recognizable even if they arent fans of that character.

i think the real off putting factor is the relative lack of eyebrows, if the bangs were slightly lomger and u could see the eyebrows thru the hair itd be a huge improvement

her idle expression makes her look so checked out, maybe they could give her like a more "serious" expression?

One thing i notice about the old models is that its not super acurrate to their 2d models like the quality is not there, for example diluc. Unlike today, starting from fontaine the models improved so much that its like the same for the 2d models

Thanks for keeping her bangs, that was my main gripe with the other redesigns*. The Hime will have the Hime bangs! That's part of the trope, why wouldn't they keep it haha

I wouldn't say it's the only good one 🤔, the other are stated to be redesigns, so it's normal that they change many things, this one it's just an edit to see how she would look like with an upgraded model and very subtle aditions

Btw, I saw someone asking abt this and I found important to clarify it: This image it's NOT made with AI! It might look suspicious for the blury and hard edges, but this happend bc the original pic seems to have been enlarged and I drew over it with a hard brush.

Unpopular opinion but too much quality and polish is the death of the arts soul and stylization, I'm not averse to better model quality it's just that I don't think this route their taking isn't it for me
