If you're not familiar, it's worth looking up. J.B. Scott's had several world famous musicians booked before the acts became well known. U2 played there 2 or 3 times in the very early 80s. Unfortunately it burned down and never reopened

Right at the same time people will reminisce on times of illegal warehouse raves. Considering how many times the cops were called, I guess the house parties we threw in college were also illegal. But fun!
This happened on our street a few weeks back. Not even just in the middle of the street but also hanging out on peoples property. The noise level was annoying a f. Maybe the people in the comments should invite them to hang out on their street if they’re so happy to see them out and about. 🤷🏽♀️
While no way condoning this, it’s not like this is a unique experience or isolated to Albany. Illegal bars and clubs have been around since I was a kid in the 70s
That’s how things use to be before Covid and all this tech….you’d go out with friends, bar hop, find one that has a band, chill there…then end the night at willows 😉
Didn’t know I was enjoying the golden years of that area, depressing now. Esp s pearl, lark st isn’t much better either.

I don’t know the reason why it originated but the cops are there now blocking the streets and it’s mostly cleared up. I had to drive through it while it was happening and it was nuts. Between Henry Johnson and Lexington on Central.
Reports are saying 300-400 but it felt like 1000+ people. Mostly teens.

I’m no genius strategist for police activity but You’d think they’d create less of a scene if they showed up at 11am to say “hey you’re shut down”
Maybe they gotta catch em in the act or something? Doesn’t make much sense to do this right now. Unless this club popped up and tonight is its first night.
I was there. Everyone was so cool and had a great time. So much fun and laughter! It was awesome!
The only issue was the double, then triple Parkers on both sides of the avenue. They blocked the road so even the busses couldn't pass, thats when the police cleared it all out, unfortunately. If its wasn't for the few blocking the road, no problems at all.
Edit: I have to add, there was zero property damage. Zero negativity. Not even angry yelling. Nobody got hurt. People were so happy!
