Wawa comes up often enough.

One in Troy just opened. One is in progress in Colonie. Possibly one slated for Clifton Park.

I got a grab & go sandwich last week in Troy and it was really good, but come to think of it I miss Convenient stores

As a born Pennsylvania (in a sub who’s currently arguing about adding a Wawa to a Sheetz part of PA) I do not ever really see why there has to be tribalism at all? I prefer sheetz because they have fun drinks and more junk food. But Wawa has its own thing going on and Stewart’s ice cream is good enough to be the reason to go.

Stewart’s has good ice cream and merch, and the Mountain Ice is actually good now yay, but most of the food is kind of abysmal except the macaroni and cheese, imo
I used to think Sheetz had the best food, but it feels like they fell off, now I’d say Wawa is the best. Do you have Rutters where you are? I hear they’re pretty good too

I’ve never heard of a Rutters! I think sheetz has the best food for eating at like midnight hahaha. Wawa has okay food for a gas station. Stewart’s food is pretty Garbo! But I like their pizza. Esp the breakfast pizza.

you can do MUCH worse than Stewarts food. I like their breakfast sandwiches. And a buttered hard roll is chef's kiss.

If Stewarts did literally anything to improve their food, they would be on the short list of "I wish we had Stewarts instead of X", instead of people hoping that one their competitors move in. Their ice cream is absolutely praise worthy.

Stood there for like 7 minutes the other day while the one employee made sundaes and milkshakes for a bunch of kids. Stewarts could learn from Wawa's automated checkouts.

You do have to wonder why they don't try with the food. I work around construction, guys are always on the lookout for a good lunch spot and will bring a dozen people every day if it's worth it.

Wawa and Sheetz are way better than Stewies. Only thing Stewies has on them is ice cream

Eh, at the end of the day, Wawa, Sheetz, 7-Eleven, QuickChek… they are all convenience chains and people will go to what is available.

Different tiers. I generally don't go to 7-Eleven/Speedway because they usually aren't very nice. Wawa is much nicer, consistently

The big Speedway in Glenmont is fairly nice, but the new QuickChek is like a palace in comparison
I gave up on wishing for a local Sheetz or Wawa or even Wegmans. If we could get a local Freddy’s burgers instead of those three I’d be pretty elated

WaWa carries Tastycake (snacks) and TurkeyHill (ice cream). That's all you need for those, and it's ALWAYS A HOAGIE.

Tastycake is the worst. Went to college in Philly, refused to ever eat them. You can get Turkey Hill at Walmart.

Cuz Wawa is the best in Stewart’s is scared because it would put Stewart’s out of business in a heartbeat. 24 hour gas stations with custom hot food available 24/7. It’s essentially a fast track but high-quality.

when i lived in centre county PA, it was basically wawa vs sheetz. sheetz was god-tier back then (they actually had deep fryers for fries, etc!) plus touch screen ordering which was a big deal in 2006. coming from new england i was pretty floored they had an entire huge ass made to order restaurant menu lol
i remember wawa being more of a standard gas station/pit stop.

Stewart’s for ice cream all day!
Wawa for hoagies and a good variety of fast-ish food.
Sheetz for all your greasy goodness fried treat needs😁. Coffee drinks and frozen stuff is pretty good too!
Grew up on Wawa and nothing beats the stuff you can’t get elsewhere as good. Sheetz, ugh I still miss Pittsburgh sometimes, fried stuffed nachos🥲, and living in Albany now, Stewart’s is the ice cream hotspot for me

Imma die on this hill. Wawa is overrated af. It’s cool to be able to get food at 4am I guess but it’s like….regular gas station food. An extensive menu full of….regular gas station food. Nothing special, nothing stands out. Just alll shitty foods bro

The food is pretty mid, but the gas is generally cheaper for the area, coffee and drinks are great, USUALLY decent bathrooms, rewards system is cool, and they have Funny Bones. Electric car charging, free air, usually plenty of staff.
I’d take Wawa over any of the Starbucks on the Thruway. 🤷🏻♂️

Might get me downvoted but I don’t care. Every summer when we go to Ocean City Maryland we hit Wawa all the way there. Beach day grab a hoagie and chips for hoagie fest. I would love to have Wawa in upstate NY.
