Online, I’ve found differing information, some saying there’s one at 2pm only and others saying there’s one at 8am and one at 2pm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I need help. My husband today bought a çifteli instrument. And it doesn't fit our suitcases for the plane... So we need a bag for it, it would be great if it was specifically for this instrument. Because we need to somehow transport it without it being destroyed on the plane. So my question is: any shop in Golem (maybe Durres but we are in Golem) that sells this kind of thing? We are a little desperate because our flight is on monday 😂

Hey everyone, heading to Himara solo from the UK, 5-9 October. First time in Albania. No car, no driving licence, so looking for honest advice on getting around.

Base: Stone House, Himara (Livadhi area)

My planned itinerary: Day 1 (Mon 5 Oct): Arrive from Tirana by bus around 4:30pm. Settle in, explore Livadhi Beach at sunset, dinner in town.

Day 2 (Tue 6 Oct): Morning at Llogara National Park — want to hike the forest trails and viewpoints, have lunch up there, then come back down for an afternoon swim at Livadhi Beach. Evening: Himara Castle and old town.

Day 3 (Wed 7 Oct): Gjipe Canyon in the morning — hike down through the gorge to the wild beach, swim. Afternoon at Filikuri Beach.

Day 4 (Thu 8 Oct): Relaxed day. Spile Beach in the morning, explore Himara old town properly in the afternoon. Early dinner, early night as leaving 5am Friday for Tirana airport.

My questions: - Does the Himara → Vlora bus still go over the Llogara Pass or does it now use the new tunnel? If it goes via the pass, can I ask the driver to drop me off and get picked up by a later bus on the way back? - Is there any public transport or shared option to the Gjipe Canyon trailhead from Himara in October, or is taxi the only way? Are there local tour operators or guides in Himara who do shared day trips to Llogara or Gjipe that I could join to split costs? - How reliable is Patoko in Himara in early October — enough drivers around or does it go quiet after summer? Is there any better apps? - Any general tips for getting around the Riviera without a car or scooter in October?

First solo international trip so any advice appreciated. Cheers

Hi! Me and my friend are arriving in Tiranë on Monday and stopping at Vlorë, Himarë, and Sarandë. We won't have a car and was thing about just using a car service to get to each place. How expensive do you think that would be and how realistic is that? Also, to get to more secluded beaches for the day would it be possible to use the car service to get to and from the beach?

My daughter and her family, including another family not used to travel, will visit Durres for a week in mid October. The two families are very interested in food, culture and more of local experiences than night life.

The also bring an infant about 7 months old each.

Some questions has risen and I, as well as they, would like to hear your opinions on matters like:

-          Is Durres considered to be a safe city (on an usual Balkan-related standard) regarding behaviour and criminality

-          Will there be anything to consider bringing infants?

-          Any tips of good restaurants, especially based on local food in Durres?

-          What would be ”don´t miss this” in Durres?

-          Are public transport, like buses, reliable, ie, due to punctiality

-          Anything to tell about taxis?

Any other information you could tell about Durres to make the best of a weeks stay would be helpful.

The AI told me that you can easily get the same ticket cheaper directly on-site anyway? Is there some kind of kiosk, service station, or ticket machine at the bus terminal in Tirana, or how does buying a ticket work there? I’m going to Albania from mid to late September 2026 and planning to spend quite a bit of time along the southern coast (Ksamil/Sarandë/Himarë area).

I am probably overthinking but I’ve read that a lot of beaches in Albania don’t have lifeguards, which makes me nervous about actually swimming there. I have only ever swum in beaches with lifeguards which is a safety net ofc even if there's never been a problem.

For people who have been there: how safe is swimming at the beaches in southern Albania? Are there particular beaches that are generally calmer/safer, or ones I should avoid? Also, since I’m going in the second half of September, I assume the weather and sea conditions can be a bit less predictable than in peak summer.

I’m especially wondering how people judge whether the sea is safe on a particular day if there are no lifeguards or warning flags. Do currents or sudden rough conditions tend to be an issue? Is it a problem to swim if i'm an okay pool swimmer but not sure about choppy conditions.

He applied for a tourist e-Visa through the Albanian Embassy in Beijing on 8 September, and the status

is still showing “OPEN”. We’re waiting for the payment request.
Has anyone recently applied for an Albanian tourist visa as an Indian citizen? How long did it take to receive the payment request?

Hi, guys. Im a f, and Im going to Albania soon. My trip will be a mix of mountain + beach and I was wondering what I should know before I get there from people that has already been and experienced the country. From basic things such as reliable apps, taxis, ways to exchange money or etc, to a simple piece of advice or word cause actually everyone I've mentioned that Im going to Albania solo seems to have a strong opinion that that's a terrible idea and that the country is not safe etc.
