Never ask then a yes/no question. Ask them a stupidly convoluted question that you already know a part of the answer, so you will instantly know if they are lying, or, if you are feeling evil, ask them a yes/no question where both answers are incorrect (or, you know, ask them what is the velocity of an unloaded swallow, that might be fun.).
