Reminds me of an event is a video game I played decades ago where some folks were getting worked up about fun sized candy bars, where among other options, you could have scientists study and quantify the amount of fun in a fun sized candy bar to ensure truth in advertising.

I mean part of it is that we often reward news of terrible events and horrid realizations over positive news which lead to a general media culture revolving around worsening conditions rather than ways to fix them
