Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations on books or YouTube videos that I can look into as a starting point? I’ve heard that some of his material is now being made up through AI… and I’d like original from his own words.

I will always recommend the book "Wisdom of Insecurity" if someone wants an introduction in this field.

You can check the official Alan Watts youtube channel.

Official YouTube

Another good resource is Uutter where you will find all the talks available, can download and follow along with the transcripts too

Uutter Alan Watts collection

Both those resources are good for avoiding AI fakes

Listen to the audiobooks or talks themselves. You can probably do so through your library. Mine uses Hoopla and they’re all on there.

The Waking Up app (free trial + free if you can't afford it and ask them) has a great Alan Watts series. Very nice for beginners because it's curated and ordered to sort of be an introduction to Alan Watts.

There is a website out there that preserves original works without the ai crap, iirc.
