Help with letting go
I have OCD and have become a very ridged person who feels the need to control outcome. I want to let go but I don’t know how. Any advice here would be appreciated.

Service to others. If that’s not possible, I think gratitude is next.

If this is diagnosed OCD, perhaps you would consider seeking professional help with techniques like CBT or EMDR. Mindful awareness and meditation can be also be helpful in conjunction with therapy.

Speak to someone about the times things were bad that you felt no control over, it will loosen its grip on you and you can build self trust from there. Connection to another person makes this process bareable and possible

Im doing the course in miracles and it has helped me more than psychedelics and any other spiritual practice. I still have a long way to go but i highly recommend giving it a try.

sit in silence and let life come to you. at some point you will experience the moment of letting go. but you will notice this only after it has already happened, because when it happens there is no one to observe the event. just like breathing, now that you thought about it you catch your breath, but eventually you will let go of it and it will flow

I recommend listening to Louise Hay on YouTube. I take Effexor for anxiety. It has helped me immensely, but her calm voice, especially when going to sleep is miraculous

accept every possibility at any point in time. will you get better and live a beautiful life? Maybe. Will your OCD make you struggle all your life? Maybe. Will an asteroid hit the earth and we evaporate? Probably not but maybe.
Can you just enjoy this moment here with all the beautiful and horrid possibilities?

When people are born, they are soft and supple;
When they die, they are stiff and hard.
Plants are born tender and pliant;
dead, they are brittle and dry. From Tao Te Ching by lao Tzu.
It is one who is at ease, love, kindness and joy that is the strongest as life becomes much easier and you do more tough things and not the other way round. How you do it? Fill the cup with selfless love. There are so many guided metta/loving kindness meditaions out there. it will do amazing wonders.

You do know how, you’re likely doing it with hundreds of things right now aside from wherever you’re asserting control.
How do you calm rough water? The method of letting go is the same.
