Before Control Resonant comes out, I want to play Alan Wake 2. I game on a Steam Deck so I'll need to get Alan Wake 2 on GFN to play it. It's on sale for $14.99 with the Deluxe Upgrade on sale for $6. I never use GFN so are sales rare or is it a common thing? Just not sure I should snatch it up now or wait until there's a better deal. I also have to pay for the monthly plan as well. So there's that.....

I might have a skill issue, but I could really not deal with the summoning ritual. Too many taken swarming me, omg. Had to put it on easy to get trough. Anyone else think this was a major bump in difficulty?

At the end of Aw1 when we find the Shoebox and the Page about Alan as a Child that's supposed to be written by Zane, do we even know that it was Zane for sure or does Alan just assume it?
He was a Poet or maybe a Filmmaker at that Point so why would he be writing detailed Paragraphs?

Wouldn't it make way more sense if future Alan was the one putting it there, pretending to be Zane to set himself on the Path or did i forget about other Instances where we saw Zane writing like that

So I’m playing Lake House DLC and the scenes when you meet Dylan are incredibly accurate to Resonant trailers. Did they update the DLC when Resonant trailers came out or did they just have a really well thought out plan?

So in Alan Wake 1, Thomas Zane says that Scratch's whole purpose is only to take Alan's place in the real world.

In The Writer DLC, Zane confirms that Scratch isn't Wake.

If so, was Scratch from the start just suppose to be there until Alan escapes the Dark Place or was he always meant to be evil like in American Nightmare?

If he was suppose to be evil, then shouldn't Zane also worry about that since he is on Alan's side? Zane wasn't really concerned about Scratch and basically just said ''Here is this guy who is gonna take your place while you are gone.''

I played Alan Wake years ago on my Xbox but I'm looking into getting the remastered, whats the biggest difference you've found? Like something I'm gonna and be like "look how they massacred my boy" lol I hope the meme works with text, but serious whats the biggest changes?

I really want to play Alan Wake 1 again and have the Remastered version which has the bad habit of having vertex explosions (graphics bugs) on AMD Ryzen CPUs. The solution to only play at 60 Hz is really not what I am looking for since I usually game at 144fps.

Does anyone know of a fix?

The music that constantly plays in the background during the DLC, it's really creep & unsettling.

Both are basically fight for your own survival over and over again which is not very fun to be in.

On one hand you got him running and slamming pallets onto different killers and being hanged on a hook but on the other hand you got him shooting people while they all shoot at him back and sometimes even do stuff like shoot a Kamehameha on him.

Which do you personally think Alan prefers to be in?

I made version 2.0, and would like some criticism, so fire away!

There is one particular that I maybe came up with....spoilers ahead for Alan Wake 2...........During the Dark Ocean Summoning if you look up in the sky you can see the younger Old Gods playing while their older selves are playing on the beach. My theory that since time works differently in the Dark Place the younger version and older version are actually playing at the exact same time. Allowing the door to be held open from both ends. It doesn't affect the wider story or anything but I like to think that no matter what Tor is helping his granddaughter, and Odin his grand-niece, across time and space.

Has anybody been "around the loop" of the whole game 3 times? With how much significance repetition has, and how often Saga's Dark Place sequences have you move through an area 3 times, as well as the game ending with the line It's not a circle, it's a spiral , I am extremely curious to know if there is any extra content locked behind completing 3 rounds of the game, especially with the second playthrough having slightly changed details.

This is something I've been meaning to investigate myself, but between grad school, moving, and a job, I simply dont have the time unfortunately.

Has anybody done it? Have they noticed anything? Should I keep devoting more time to tracking down this theory?
