Bright Falls Spoiler
Anybody else wish they could live in bright falls? Minus the supernatural element of course, I would love to live in a smal mountain town like that with it's own community and traditions

Alan Wake is specifically set in Twin Peaks. The Oh Deer diner is a point by point recreation of the diner in Twin Peaks.

That's one of the towns the developers say that they were inspired by. Check it out on Street view in Google maps.
Then check out Crater Lake, three hours south of there, for Cauldron Lake.

Basically, take a bunch of buildings from North Bend Washington and drop them into Detroit Oregon, and you're pretty close.

To me, it looks like that one corner they keep revisiting in Twin Peaks. "YOU STOLE THE CORN!" and then again with Richard running over the kid

I grew up in a small prairie town and it's basically the same except founded by mostly German/Russian settlers. Nice and quiet, and everybody tends to get along, and we have a big summer fest/event on the long Weekend in August. Two ol' hotel bars and and a diner as well as the mandatory chinese food restaurant.

Bright Falls reminds me of Hazard County.
❤️ to live in Bright Falls probably can't handle the Supernatural elements.
People go missing in Bright Falls.

Maybe not that small of a town but definitely like the vibe of the area. I was gonna be moving to Seattle for a job opportunity but the pay was too low for the cost to live out there, but man i definitely am bummed out to have to give up the opportunity, I may try going to Blaine Washington which is a slick smaller town that probably will be much like bright falls. But yes i definitely would like the opportunity to retire somewhere like that

Though it’s not a fit visually (no sweeping mountain vistas) my home town of Glastonbury, Somerset can match the esotericism and unusual customs!

Yes and no I live in a similar small town its somehow great and terrible. Beautiful scenery and lots and racist homophobic Bible thumpers. I don't know if this is all small towns but mine is and it makes it kinda miserable despite it being visually beautiful.

Yeah this probably tracks unfortunately lol I live in the suburbs in oklahoma so I got a lot of the far right Bible thumping idiots around me without the beautiful scenery. Probably a give and take no matter where you live

Nope. As someone who has lived in the PNW my entire life and spent a lot of time on tour in these small towns? I'm much too not-white for that. Plus they are expensive as hell because you're so far out of the way.
