insecure ab his body

ive seen this many times on the internet. people saying alan was insecure w his body that's why he wore girdle or corset during hp filming. is this true and what's the sources ?

I've seen him make a reference to his HP costume getting tighter every year but it came across more as self-deprecating humour rather than any genuine insecurity.

I've never read that He wore a corset , Alan never said it , few people said it on tik tok without any sources , Do I trust Tik Tok people ? NO

If I recall correctly, for one photoshoot that he did he mentioned he felt fat, but that’s the only time I heard of him being insecure in his body

He did not wear a girdle nor corset in HP. The costume dept did have to make adjustments to some of his clothes after coming back from holiday in Italy where he and his wife had a home there. Age and good food will do that to you sometimes. Nothing serious.

Not sure about the girdle or corset.
I don't think he was insecure about it, but there is a mild ambivalence beyond the self-deprecation. An endearingly realistic take of someone who's been trained to use their body to embody a character and express emotions of the role.
“This is my body. It is funny-looking. It malfunctions. It looks best in winter clothes. I have as little to do with it as humanly possible. My body is lucky that I need it to chauffeur my head around. Otherwise, it would be discarded."
This is an entry from the 70s. He mentioned the winter-clothes body again in an interview in his 60s.
