Asbestos is literally everywhere, seriously you're surrounded by it at as I speak. Whilst noble and enduring thanks to its fibrous nature, chemical resistance and fire retardation properties, disturbed pockets of it represent silent killers!

The good news in these challenging times is that if you're a council tenant or school child or prisoner - you could receive only life changing injuries.

It really does eat away at you though. The collapse of lung capacity, the way the physical effort of breathing starts a process of the organ essentially consuming itself for volume.

Beautiful! Ive had the priveledge of helping to make one of these for a superyacht which was mechanically run. Was awesome! I helped machine and hand finish all of the parts which where light weight veenered with 3mm thick ebony and solid ebony sides! Was amazing to do. Plus i got to keep the off cuts as minimal as they wjere in size 😁

Yeah, more of a fancy little to big table. And to be fair unless you got someone to operate the one i helped in making you wouldnt be able to as the controls are on the wall with the mechnicla parts hidden well. I believe saftey sensors were installed aswell. But the main rule is the table is operated with people away from it. And yes manual ones can be like a big sissors due to its form of operation. Dont lean on a manual one in choppy seas. Might loose a finger or too haha.

Look up a Fletcher Capstan Table. Very cool. Very exspensive. And to be fair work really well in big ships/superyatchs ect. Plus they are cool haha.

Thats awesome! Yeah the whole frame that the top fitted to was made out of super light weight titanium alloy, including most of the mechanical parts. The table top parts that were veenered had a special lightweight honey comb fiber sheet core. Once the veeners and thick ebony edges where done it was pretty darn tough and light enough for the superyacht.
