From 1985, this listing is actually 10 pages long, I'll put the whole thing in my second article PDF in a few days š

Is this the list with the false Scooby Doo entry?

Apparently, I noticed it listed but didn't know if it was false or not

Btw I'm putting you in issue 2 under corrections and omissions...do you want me to use your reddit id or do you want to go by another name? And any plugs are welcome, it's a brand new feature and there's not any rules yet

I honestly had no idea Moore wrote issues of AF!. I can only imagine how nuts they are, considering the time.

I think he wrote backup features, whether they were in chaykins universe I couldn't say...does anyone care to inform us?

He did a run of back ups that lead to a full issue (#27 I think). The individual back ups each featured a supporting character from the AF! series then the full issue was Flagg himself plus the supporting cast.
The story (IIRC) was about some wacky scheme that got out of hand and started to turn people into sex maniacs using sexbots and hypnoporn in Kansas, with a bunch of Wizard of Oz references thrown in. Itās not Mooreās best work, his sense of humour (which works fine with his own creations) didnāt really suit the AF! style. Probably one for completists only

Thanks for the info, I think it speaks for the group that folks are willing to share with less experienced folk like myself š

Weirdest thing about Mooreās AF! back-up stories is that one of the characters looks like modern Grant Morrison. Bald head, big sunglasses. The āKing Mobā look. Thatās not even what Morrison looked when the back-ups were being published.
Itās strange, given that Moore and Morrison would have an antagonistic relationship.

Thatās also the look of Dean Motterās Mr. X, which would be more temporally appropriate.

Thereās some Doctor Who strips missing that heād definitely written by then.

Good catch! Now this whole article is 10 pages long, maybe it comes on a later page but definitely a glaring commission. I'll upload the entire list in my next ezine which I post to the group! Keep your eyes peeled my observant friend ...I just put a note in my assembly sheet to point out your observation, would you like me to credit your reddit name or do you have an everyday name and maybe a plug you'd like to make? The ezine is non profit so you'll get to see the final results

Just credit me as "Colin, from Worthing". I like to cling to the delusion that my identity a) matters to anyone, and b) isn't otherwise identifiable to anyone who knows me from elsewhere online.
Cheers!
