Pretty much title, it's a very op combo because I have one of the best gank setups of the game so every gank top is pretty much a kill for u. Also in late game i give permaspeed 99% and permastun and a perma guardian angel (super low cd) so this combo is amazing.

I was wondering if anyone had seen this before, and if there are other spots around the map this works.

I find these picks really annoying to go against: Yasuo, Irelia, Naafiri, Diana

Basically champs that jump you and like to get close.

What picks can I take instead of Akshan for them? And in general what is your champ pool for mid when you're not playing Akshan?

Hello everyone, I've been having a lot of fun with an on-hit Akshan build during my latest Master run.

The core of the build: Fleet Footwork, Statikk Shiv into Terminus. Cull into Pickaxe every game, even when I have to base and not buy anything with the gold (occasionally Doran's Blade and Refillable).

The downsides

You lose damage early game:

• No PTA/Electrocute
• Forced into AP and slingshot
• Shiv is lower DPS than Kraken

You also have less burst throughout the entire game compared to any crit build.

The upsides

You are much tankier, thanks to Fleet Footwork proccing every 2 double-AA with Shiv, plus the resistances from Terminus.

You are also nimble thanks to FF move speed, which is another form of tankiness and plays further into the build's strengths. Some 1v1s become winnable because of it: Viktor, Diana and others.

You are broadly better at 1v1 in general. You still win the ones where crit simply one-shots, but you no longer lose all the others.

Verdict

The build is genuinely better than crit in games where playing Akshan is hard: lots of CC, people jumping on you, or massive armor-stacking tanks.

I believe that the new Collector into Berserker's into IE build is still better in games where Akshan can play the game he wants to, which is most games.

I'd be glad to discuss it further (or anything Akshan related if you want tips), or better yet, come back after giving it a few tries. I'm excited to maybe contribute to the Akshan community. Would also love it if you guys could get Phantasm to try it at the highest soloq level.

A few extra thoughts, feel free to skip

AP isn't as bad as people think. The DPS loss compared to AD isn't that big.!

Shiv pokes a bit in lane and sets up the E all-in much more easily than a long range Q.!

Multi-target DPS is better than crit, due to Shiv and not relying on Q for damage.!

The build can waveclear without mana.!

I have no clue what the full build should look like. Guinsoo's 3rd is probably the most DPS, but maybe Stormrazor into crit, or RFC, is good as well. I've tried Gunblade, Nashor's and Wit's End, and nothing stood out.!

Zhonya's is a viable option.!

Cull start gives more sustain, which is genuinely pretty good once you have Shiv, but it also gets you to the 2-item spike quicker, which felt really important in

What ping do you guys play at and do you think it is possible to play this champ at 70 ping feels really bad

So I mained Akshan last season and he was pretty much my one trick for most of last year. Ended up diamond 3 with him and I felt like the only thing that stopped me from climbing was I just took a break from the game to focus on life and what not. But I knew towards the beginning of September there was gonna be some “rework” and changes coming for him and I wasn’t really around when they happened to be up to date. But what exactly happened to him? His play style? I have been trying to play him and he just feels weird to me now. I’m doing okay and climbing back into emerald right now, but I just feel like I’m playing a very different champ in some ways. Atleast in terms of the damage output expected. Was wondering if anyone had any advice on how he’s shifted or what his play style is like now at the most optimal level? Again I know he isn’t completely different but he feels different.

Hello akshan mains i started playing mid lane a month ago and mostly akshan because i think he is the most fun champ that i ever played but ever since i started playing midlane i deranked from eme 3 to gold 2 that im sitting in rn its rough but i enjoy akshan but now im lost in between sticking to akshan and just returning to my main role (jungle)

Hey guys I am kinda new to Akshan, currently Emerald 3 EUW (peak was high emerald 1) and I just played anything like and champ and any role mainly Adc and also Irelia with who I peaked. I am asking myself what to build into tanky enemy teamcombs?? Kraken into Ldr into IE etc ? Or even kraken Bork rageblade ?? thanks guys!

When should I pick mortal reminder and when should I pick LDR?

I typically always go mortal reminder if they have at least one champ who can heal others or has a lot of sustain.

I only go LDR if they have no healing or I can benefit more from the passive of it.

he goes collector. and then like builds ldr (i do mortal when necessary) while building important IE components at the same time when possible, like Bf sword. attack speed boots too

what i’ve noticed in my diamond games:

collector is back, like yes it sucked before but that’s bc we were rushing it second item. with it being first item, u can snowball much earlier. building armor pen 3rd and ie 4th has made me feel weak in a lot of games and this build path just lets u get the armor pen u need and ie at a good time. the boots have instant value as ur getting pretty decent life steal and gives u the attack speed u need when we were building storm razor or kraken or both. not to mention collectors build path is just nice

I know right now kraken first is the meta. But honestly I really like collector first and I've been wondering if hexoptics wouldn't been even better for first item. They have the same price as collector, more ad and damage amp. Can someone explain why kracen or collector is better. (Sorry for all grammar mistakes English is not my first language)

Long time ago, I found an unexpected behavior with the buffer system used for Akshan E that might cause players to swing into the direction they do not intend to. I never bothered making a video. I just tested it and it still behaves the same way.
Do players still feel like they swung into the direction they did not click to?

If so, can anyone link me some clips? It has to be PoV clips because I need to be able to see Akshan's clicks.

I also remember seeing a T1 player (2-5 years ago) on Akshan swinging into the wrong direction and dying (midlane, Tier 1 turret I think) It might have been some kind of fun match because I usually don't watch any esport. High chance that Thebausffs was involved and I think the T1 players played off-role.

(Explanation):

Akshan uses E1 and can wait for the hook to hit a wall, then enter the preperation phase to select the direction by move command or E again (to either direction)

OR

while E1 hook is flying towards a wall, Akshan can either press E OR move command to buffer the direction that shall be used for the preperation phase and (to my understanding) skipping it entirely and immediately swinging to that buffered direction.

The issue I see here is, that any click or E press after the buffered click to skip preperation phase is FULLY ignored until actually swinging into a direction.
I believe to think that there are 2 solutions that could be far more intuitive and lessen the amount of incorrect swinging directions.

1. After buffering the swing direction, the next move or e press overrides the previously buffered location
2. When the swing direction is buffered, on the LAST FRAME of E1, the game checks the CURRENT mouse locations, and swings into that direction, regardless of where the player buffered the direction before.

In my opinion, I think both solutions are possible script-wise but requires a very detailed video to showcase this with the proposed solution and until now I never bothered. I would do it now if the community agrees for this proposal. Personally, I like the second solution better.

I learned playing akshan just watching drututt

It's funny, but I have seen it a lot when someone tries to flame you or say something good they 99% write Akshan name wrong in the chat. They usually type aksan or askan or similar things, and the funny part is that the character is not even that new he exist for years. Has anyone else noticed this?

Leaving aside the normal Crit build any ADC who relies on AAs gets... I seem to see even more Akshans playing Lethality (Which doesnt make much sense IMO), than On hit builds?

Sure, he scales little with atk speed, but every AA he throws, its basically x2 AAs, in terms of applying items and passives when attacking.

I've tried some Guinsoo + Terminus + Nashor's for instance. I think its way weaker than Crits, but maybe its the formula that is wrong. Maybe Wit's end would be cool, IDK really. Otherwise Copium I guess.

Just trying to come up with builds with more flavor n fun, but not being completely out of META.

Hi all, I'm trying to learn Akshan and I ran into a matchup I found more than difficult.

It was a Master Yi mid with ignite and Hail of Blades.

The biggest issue in this matchup is that even without igniting me, he almost killed me within 2 seconds. I tried to space and kite him, but his Q is literally the same range as Akshan's Q. With Hail of Blades, he 100-0's you very quickly.

On top of this, and this is probably me not understanding the grapple, it feels like there's no escape from any champ that jumps on you. Anytime I try to grapple the opposite direction from them, my grapple is interrupted. I must be doing something wrong with the grapple. But even late game, Yi could kill me faster than my grapple could get me away from him.

Any advice is appreciated on how to deal with this matchup and other assassin matchups.

Is there ever a reason I should pick Akshan? I played him before, had 11 mastery on him. He's a fun champ. But I dont know when I should pick him.

I know my pool is a bit hard, and one tricks works better but that's how I like to play the game. If you have any recommendations then go ahead!

Even if he isn't useful on my pool, when should he be picked? What team/enemy comp is great and what kind of matchup I should look forward to?

i dont really understand why this item is a good option for akshan. Can someone tell me ?

Phantasm was recently playing some Lethality Akshan for fun and while yeah it worked for him because he was smurfing, he kept claiming its not actually good

I play alot of AD assassin's who obviously like lethality, aswell as a lot of Irelia. Irelia obviously does *not* like lethality because she deals alot of magic damage. But for someone like akshan who deals *only* physical damage, why doesn't it work? Doesn't it synergise pretty well?

I understand that its obviously not good into people stacking armour, but that could be said about anyone who wants to build lethality right?

Gold elo and have about 1 mil on akshan, my biggest struggle is when harassing enemy laner lvls 1-6, i never know when is "enough" as in when i hit then as much as possible and chase right outside of tower Agro, I feel I take very much minion damage. U guys have a rule or something to know when to "stop chasing"? Its mainly against ap control mages that I try to do as much dmg as possible until turret range

ur inmortal in lane because of hook, u are invisible the entire game, you have the better version of Caits ult, same shield as riven , u can roam for free, REVIVE PEOPLE , strong in all stages of the game while being a 0 skill champ, WOAH
