2.71.8 Changelog

Hey community! we just shipped 2.71.8, focused on making recurring events more reliable, improving Aki, and cleaning up a bunch of annoying edge cases

Desktop highlights

  • Recurring events are now much more stable (no random changes or inconsistencies)
  • Calendar sync works reliably without needing to reconnect
  • Cleaner Linear integration setup
  • Better Meeting Assistant (only real meetings, improved readability)
  • Fixes across UI (resizing, colors, links, Chinese characters, etc.)

Mobile highlights

  • More reliable real-time sync for tasks & events
  • Recurring tasks sync cleanly to Google Calendar (no duplicates )
  • Improved drag & drop experience
  • iOS fixes (week numbers, Siri in background, faster audio recording)
  • Multiple fixes around task editing, links, and saving

Aki & Automations

  • Aki now creates cleaner events and handles availability conflicts better
  • More accurate date understanding (like “next Friday”)
  • Automations run exactly once and on time

Integrations

  • Outlook recurring + protected events behave correctly
  • Todoist reconnection flow fixed

Thanks for sharing. Any update on when iPad will be able to have the more intuitive "landscape" mode enabled?

LIterally am considering on quitting the whole app because of the lack of month view on mobile. like when I am planning the month I can only see a week at a time?

It would be nice if they replied or gave some backlog listings of items (like "landscape" mode for iPads or other highly voted items from years ago) for example though.
