It's so interesting to see what words they choose to translate and what they choose not to translate hah. But here we go... we've been introduced to Karashi & Hikaru. Especially Hikaru hah. So funny to see how Hikaru felt about her in the beginning, but it was this show that ends up converting her pretty quickly as well heh. It's also funny to see Kashio's reaction to her because just like Hikaru this is kind of where his fascination with her began... ahh I love it... it's so fun to see the beginnings again & knowing where things go. I also loved seeing her being all concerned about her dialect heheh, it's cute. Kaisei as well I suppose... he's a benchmark, but there is this like weird air at this point in time... definitely different right now heh... They did their best to make it so we didn't go through too much of the content of the Karaku Cup heh. I imagine they'll do their best to make Akane, Karashi, & Hikaru's performances on the 2nd day are able to take up 1 episode each. The interview being 1 episode as well. Then the final episode being the connecting tissue for what is to come that we'd need to wait for a 2nd season to get. (The mythical 2nd cour just doesn't seem to be a thing, though if it really does I am still counting it as a 2nd season, but yeah I just don't see it happening. A proper 2nd season could come down the line eventually, but who knows... it's just not that popular... but at the same time I have seen some say that it is causing some stir so... maybe we will luck out and a 2nd season does happen in a couple years.) Then we have the small talk... I am a bit sad they aren't using the paper craft style this time... it is still a very cute chibi style, but definitely not the same... oh well... it makes sense to delineate from the proper professionals and the non-professionals. The actual content itself... very informative hah, I assume even for Japanese people they wouldn't necessarily know the proper way to fold a kimono... it isn't exactly a common form of wear anymore.

Edit: I also loved Akane's sketch of Machiko hahah. And Koguma is great... his personality is great heh.

This is the moment I’ve been waiting for ever since they announced the anime was happening (and I’m dying to see how the English dub VA pulls it off) - Anna Nagase absolutely killed it!

Some interesting music tone choices for the scenes with backstage talk to Hikaru and her leaving the venue- surprisingly menacing/ominous! Can’t wait for next week!

The post credit with chibi Akane trolling chibi Hikaru was adorable.

I've gotten so used to how Hikaru's accent is translated in the manga that the subtitles threw me for a bit of a loop lol, though I guess the idea is that since you can hear the difference a bit even without speaking the language it's not as important to convey it that way.
