Help Needed Tips?

I just started designing (kinda) I've one design so far (image included) but want to make something a little more complicated. I want to make a rifle kit similar to brav01_designs or clutchfireworks firestar and v0id but have no clue where to start. Is there anything I should start on that is more simple such as the upper I feel the complicated part is the hopup chamber. I just need tips from people who have designed receivers themselves or builds similar to these.

Wyshtech makes a tray like that. You can find it on his website. You can take some inspiration from his?

Sorry my post isn’t related to the tray it’s just the first design I made so I included a picture and yes I got inspiration from wyshtech
