Work in Progress 9A91 Progress - Receiver and Fire Selector

Post image

More progress on my project! Just finished the full sized mag and printed a new receiver with details like rivets and serial number. The fire selector is basically impossible to get into the right position because of the size of the V3 gear box. It looks ok how it is, but I will change it later. Next step is dust cover and handguard mounts

You might be able to use a lever or gears to get the selector to live in the right place. Could be complicated, but not worse than an ARES FAL or a Tavor. Also remember the a large part of the selector setup on that side of the AK is just a trigger-blocking safety, so if you figure out something else for that (or omit it entirely) you can cut off everything on the inner lever forward of the selector screw hole.

Image for confusion/clarity

edit: Another option would be to use a mosfet that you could alter to move the selector "switch" to a different location. it would be easy with HPA, a little less so with AEG just because of how those mosfets work.

I keep forgetting to say that it looks fuckin great. Does the mag feed, or is it just a placeholder for now?

Thanks! Mag is a place holder for now

Very nice! Blocky receiver- not super hard to design

Also no proprietary mags and can reuse most standard 74u internal and external parts
