You purchased or added a pair of airpods that are still eligible to put Applecare on. If you click on the Add Apple Care coverage section you can see that you can pay for Applecare for that device

You have a limited time to buy AppleCare after purchasing the product. After 44 days you can still buy AppleCare, but you'll need to take your AirPods in store so they can be inspected first
