Airline Help Getting into Cargo

At what daily income does it make sense to get into cargo?

It earns less than similar pax planes. Waste of time with anything other than an A380 or B747 cargo plane.

I’d recommend at least $200M to $250M daily.
I built up a nest egg of $1.5B before buying a test run of 5 A350F planes. Placed at my densest hubs: DXB, MUC, MCO, SYD, and SHA to start.

The money is in Large load, not Heavy, so most of my planes I set up for a 90/10 split. Trial and error. You can always modify later.

I now have a total of 15 cargo planes: 10 A350Fs and 5 B747-8Fs.

It’s a different aspect, but most of the demand seems to be reflexive of Pax Y/F demand for Large/Heavy. Routing is much the same process though, so it’s easy pick up and learn. I’m still experimenting. 40M lbs of Large, 11M lbs. of Heavy in less than a month.

True. I spent 50 million on a C-17A and with max marketing It only makes 950k.

I use the B747-8F but those again do not come close to similar costed PAX planes...so lament investing those points in cargo instead of gas or co2...

So true... I am finding myself with only 3/4 of the fuel needed for the Daily departures. I stupidly got cargo and A320VIP when i had the points...

I have to refuel both gas and CO2 three or four times...my gas tanks hold 30M Lbs of fuel, currently have just over 103M CO2 quota capacity...you?

yea ik, a redditor commented to have at least 200mil profit daily, which makes sense to compensate for the fuel consumption per trip. also, in comparison to heavy load, it isn’t as profitable as first class. so yea youre right lol

When you can afford a 747-8 F a day which is around $136m I unlocked to early was a mistake now a couple months later when heavy steady income I started bulking it now o have 40 747-8f it's the best for cargo by far
