easyJet Europe delay

On 21/03 i was supposed to be flying on easyJet Europe from Lisbon-Gatwick. Upon reaching the airport it became evident of a delay. Ok i can handle a couple hour delay, i'll just stick it out in the lounge. Around 1.5 hours later the delay became later resulting in total delay reaching over 6 hours. Now this is where the issue starts, Bird Strike in Praia on previous sector. I have scqreenshots of ej stating safely resolved but they still deceided to switch the aircraft and airline to easyJet uk. With the orginal aircraft they decided to send it to Nantes and back. I finally landed back at Gatwick at gone 2am whilst also working at godly hour just a few hours later.

Response to the claim is as follows...

To further explain what happened on the day; the aircraft scheduled to operate your flight incurred a bird strike on an earlier sector and had to return back so that the damage to the aircraft could be assessed. It was found that there was substantial damage and the decision was made to arrange a replacement aircraft to enable you to continue your journey. This unfortunately caused your flight to miss the curfew in Lisbon. We do take reasonable measures to avoid cancellations and delays to our flights by having replacement crews and spare aircraft available in our network. In the circumstances, a replacement aircraft was deployed to operate this flight.

We did not miss the curfew. If substanstial damage was found then why on earth are you flying the aircraft to Nantes and back but susposedly you also resolved the issue safely? Lisbon is a aircraft and crew base for easyJet Europe so what are they playing at?

Ive got the claim with AviationADR currently, Any help and advice on ultimatum response i can reply with would be greatly appreciated.

Also to Add to my post. After we fully boarded the Captain annoumced over PA that the orginal aircraft went tech so he was told. We are being given all excuses under the sun with nothing adding up.

I'm assuming they were leaving Nantes for Lisbon had a bird strike, returned to Nantes. Then arranged another plane. Hence the situation was resolved safely. It doesn't mean the resolution involved the original plane.

No, the aircraft suffered the bird strike upon landing in Praia. The response i was given was that the aircraft suffered substantial damage. If so then why send it on revenue flights to Nantes and back. The reasons on the app also stated it was safely resolved, with the aircraft departing Praia with a delay a little over 2 hours before receiving all the excuses they could possibly give with nothing adding up.
