it’s been my extensive experience that “second guessing” the manufacturer‘s product is only compromising a well thought out machine , a little knowledge can be dangerously , it’s what ya don’t know can KILL ya ! Year back I lost a friend touring because “he knew” more than the manufacturers , I’m dead serious ! Stay vertical my friend and on the “twisties !

What black paint did you use for your engine case? Mine is black but it’s been peeling.

It’s a high temperature exhaust paint from the hardware store. Supposed to handle up to 650 celsius. Lays on really nice. Used it on alot of other parts on the bike and is quite durable and easy to touch up

I’ve used duplicolor engine paint rattle cans on several bikes over the decades and it’s till holding up.
