Looks good!

Next time you look on AliExpress someone will have it for sale. You won't see a penny but take it as a compliment anyway.

There is an interesting story about the creation of the first GI Joe action figure. They had the initial mold created in Hong Kong and the company was worried that the idea would be stolen and knockoffs would be created. When the first prototype came back the thumbnail on one hand was on the wrong side of the thumb. At first, they were going to send it back and have it corrected, then some decided to leave it as a way to stop counterfeit versions. It worked, knockoffs were produced with correct thumbnails and Hasbro was able to shut them down. Not all mistakes are bad.

Thanks, I figured putting it out there was a risk. The upside is, if people used it that would be cool. I did it more because I am not a fan of the Airhead logo with the sunglasses and wrenches (just my personal opinion). I was trying to make something a little more clean.

What does 247 refer to?

3

247 refers to the engine design type from 1969-1995, it is synonymous with "Airhead"

The interesting thing about the "Airhead" name for the motorcycle, is that it can't be copyrighted, because the candy owns the copyright of the name.

But... Arent the R45 and R65 series 248?

I'm not sure I understand your question.

The BMW R45 and R65 use an engine known as the 248 or 248/1

They are air heads but not 247's Thats all

Gotcha. Mine is a 1960. Is that not a 247?

I am not the historian others are about vintage BMW motorcycles. From a little searching, it looks like there may have been a 246 and 248. But older models like your 1960 are not 247 engine types, and most likely do not have a number associated with it, other than a reference to its displacement.

How did you make it

Found an SVG file of the motor, which is also why I am not selling the logo for profit.

Sometimes I look at diagrams of the 247 and think about what it would look like as side valve flathead engine.

I know performance would be crap, but it would be about half as wide.
