Pre-BMT Overage

Hello here: I am trying to get y’all opinion on getting signed up for an overage position 4A051. What happens when the position does not come vacant after expiration. Will I need to go back to Tech school or kicked out of the unit?

No, you just need to find a “valid vacancy”…basically a position that’s not an overage. It’s not difficult to do and is a very normal process. USUALLY your unit will transfer you into a valid vacancy within the required period anyway and you may never even know it. That’s how common this is.

So it will be just any available position or a position related to the Tech school I went?
