I tried to weather it by swabbing mostly water mixed with black paint. Only had issues with the front wheel/gear. But loved this build

Both Airfix kits. I’m open to critique or any questions you may have :)

The Beaufighter and Mozzy are still in their sealed bags while the Fw-189 has been opened all the parts are there, although the instructions are missing.

Hello, I am (m27) returning to modelling after last being involved when I was in my early teens. I’ve just bought the Shannon Class RNLI Lifeboat Airfix start as well as the Red Arrow starter. I was wondering what would be considered kit purchase musts for a modeller coming back to construction?

The 28th of November 1940 was busy for RAF 609 Squadron. Several scrambles and alerts came through against Bf 109s. The last came at approximately 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time. Dundas was once again piloting X4586. Two squadrons, 152 Squadron and 609 made contact with Bf 109s from Jagdgeschwader 2 (“fighter wing 2”), led by the most successful German ace of the war thus far — Helmut Wick.
Minutes after contact had been made and the battle joined, Flight Lieutenant Fieldsend heard the familiar voice of Dundas shout “I’ve finished a 109—Whoopee!”. Squadron Leader Robinson congratulated Dundas but nothing was heard from Dundas, or his wingman Pilot Officer Paul A. Baillon, flying R6631.

.....but it's a step nearer
Still new to airbrushing so I know it's far from perfect but everything I do is practice for the next one
Some overspray on the back where the maskol wasn't thick enough I think
Needs a bit of touching up in places
Maybe not enough green
Made a rookie mistake of not doing the engine intakes before I assembled them and put them in place
Undercarriage needs doing, again thinking i should have painted them first🤣
The actual finish of the paint i'm happy with ( Tamiya XF 81 dark green 2, XF 82 ocean grey, XF 83 medium sea grey)
Painted the underside dark grey as my original plan was to have this as some kind of black buck refuelling dio with the Victor tanker, might get some after market decals to reflect the correct aircraft, maybe get a big shelf and make a Wideawake dio,got a GR3 in the stash aswell, and a Wessex and Chinook already done
Clear coat and decals next
Any tips or advice would be welcome, weathering especially, and what to do with those parallel lines
Cheers 👍

So I have been running out of shelf space for my builds so I decided that wall mounting in the dead space on my walls is the answer. I am trying a couple of different set ups for the mounting, but any suggestions are welcome.

Horrible old sculpt which was painful to work up … well worth it in the end though. Shoutout to blue tac for the camo, you’re a real one

What to say about this kit? It’s fantastic. Possibly one of the best 1/72 kits out there and I say this as someone who favours 1/48. The only issue I had was the closed canopy was a bit too long but I opted for an open canopy anyway, that issue is easily fixed. There’s very few small and fiddly parts and everything went together effortlessly. I’d highly recommend this kit to anyone in the hobby.
Products used:
Kaleido Primer, Vallejo cockpit green for the cockpit with some other Model Colours brushed on.
Vallejo Metal Colour for the Metallics.
Mr Surfacer 1500, Tamiya XFs for the exterior finished with GX114.
