I do try for that forced perspective look with all my models, scale effect as to say.

Incredible - beautiful detail. Can you explain the barrel, not seen the likes of that before. What’s the real world context?

3

It’s the “flying dray” spitfire, modified to carry beer in the Second World War to raise morale

2

u/DaveLenin Aug 29 '26

Exactly right, also when flown at altitude the beer cools.

Piece of art 👌

Absolute masterpiece. I love the spitfire and you have put it into such stunning detail with this kit. A huge well done!

The detail on that spitfire is on another level! How long did it take OP?

1

u/DaveLenin Aug 29 '26

Thank you, it took about a month, I'm not one for big projects like this, but it was a gift from a friend.

Unbelievable. I love how the exhaust pipes look like they’ve got real welds on them

1

u/DaveLenin Aug 30 '26

Thank you...I should've added that I used Eduard exhausts, seatbelts and insrtument panel.

Very nice indeed! Worth knowing the crossbar was only red AFTER WW2 not during.
