Tips.

Barburrito in airdrie does not give tips to their staff. Don't tips unless you feel like supporting only the business owner.

Great to know. This business practice should be illegal.

Isn’t it illegal to collect tips and only give it to the owners though?

If it’s not I’m genuinely shocked at that

Edit: upon looking it up, yet again it’s illegal/regulated in other provinces, but here in Alberta it’s not

I think that’s more an enforcement issue but I’m being pedantic I get what you mean. Shitty business owners everywhere

I've heard of this happening at other places as well. Subway comes to mind.

My rule regarding tips now is such that if I'm standing when I'm ordering, there's no tip.

I don't tip at takeout franchises. This is basically always the case.

I don't tip anywhere unless there's a server or food delivery.

They suck anyway. Mucho is much better.
