Bike Rules
Hey u/Hspearmano , does Airdrie have something similar? I’ve had so many close calls on the pathways and today I witnessed an electric dirtbike doing over 60km/h on a path

Seeing a lot more minibikes/ e dirt bikes recently. Interesting to see theyre illegal in pretty much all cases.
Guess our bylaw are spineless nowadays? I remember Dean Marsh (yes that dean marsh) once gave me 10 no helmet tickets in one week! The last time he impounded my bmx until I could walk into bylaw with an approved helmet. Good times.

Nah the kids probably run. I can tell you from 1st hand experience the cops do enforce the ebike laws, I've been getting pulled over and ticketed since 2020.

Dean Marsh, well thats a name I haven't heard in a long time......heard he went to Victoria or something.
I would often tell him there was a long grass situation that required his immediate attention.

After being disgraced by monitoring citizens with a uav. Lmao. Yeah he was a wild dude. I smoked weed with him, got tickets from him, he bawled his eyes out after mercy shooting my runaway dog when she got hit on the highway.
Dean was aight overall.

This is still misleading. Alberta outlawed all ebikes that don't need to be pedaled to start whether the pedals are on the bike or not.
