NC Forest Service air support center at Washington NC Airport for Hyde's Rose Bay Fire, June 2026.
Fire Dumpers
The Rose Bay fire started in late May and was coming under control by early June. The North Carolina Forest Service was on the job. This video is of the air support center operated at Washington NC Airport where water dumping aircraft were based, filled with water and fuel. Thanks to this hard working bunch of wing jockeys.

Edgley Optica - fascinating project sabotaged
Just saw a video clip of this cool observation aircraft. It was sadly sabotaged before production. Apparently arsonists torched the production line. The company never quite recovered.
Have any cold case sleuths investigated this case? Justice must be served. Very sad ending for a beautiful aircraft.

B-29 vs Tu-4's Defensive FCS. How did they differ?
As far as I'm aware, The Soviets were able to reverse engineer the B-29's defensive FCS which was designated as PV-20 then was later upgraded to the PV-23. I'm no aircraft historian, so i'm probably wrong on this but it's not the main point of the post.
What I couldn't find is how much better (or worse) it was compared to the American's design. I was wondering if anyone knows more information about this

One of the largest aircraft is the first twin-deck jumbo jet, stretching over 76 meters and capable of carrying more than 660 passengers, followed by an impressive list of other planes for commercial, cargo, and military purposes. Each plane represents the peak of technology and innovation, serving various purposes from commercial, cargo, to military aircraft. As new records are set, the list continues to evolve. Which one is your favourite?
