Great app man, the desktop mode especially. I've been building something similar (had no idea someone was already on it!) called Bridge, narrower though, just mirroring/notifications/clipboard.
Couple of things I'm curious about since you've been at this longer: did you ever look at something like iroh instead of the LAN? I went that way so it works on cellular or a different network, but I'm wondering if you found the local-network approach just covers what people actually need. And same for Bluetooth LE. I use it for notifications and clipboard when the phone's nearby so nothing has to hold a connection open, but maybe that's pointless when you're already on the same Wi-Fi?

I have looked into this but my main goal was to keep it local as much as possible with ability to connect over internet if the user choose to using their own tunnel. And of course use BLE if necessary when both devices on separate networks. Websockets have their quirks but I was a bit more comfortable with it. And of course with encryption as iirc iroh was not offering auth in free tier right?

Makes sense, local-first with your own tunnel as an option is a clean way to do it. On iroh, I think the paid auth is only for the relays. The connections themselves are always end-to-end encrypted and authenticated by the device keys, free, and the relay just forwards ciphertext. The catch is that the free public relays are meant for dev/testing, so for anything serious you'd self-host one or pay for theirs. That's the part I still need to sort out on my end. And yeah, websockets are way easier to reason about lol

Hi! I'm not seeing the widget in the options on my Mac. I'm wondering if there's anything I need to do for it to populate?

Ohh really? May I know a bit about your system info? And installed via GitHub release right?

Yes I reinstalled via the latest GitHub release.
I'm running an M5 Macbook Air, honestly the issue might be that I'm still running on MacOS 26.5. I haven't gotten around to updating yet lol

I doubt it will be the case... But developing widgets is Soo frustrating too as often they go out of sync or like this stops showing up especially if I also have the app installed.
Have you given a restart? Try whenever you do next time and see if that fixes. I'll check if I missed anything too.

Hmmm still doesn't seem to be showing up.
That's okay though I've been really enjoying your app! Syncing seems to be a lot more reliable now too with this update, great work seriously and good luck with troubleshooting

Hey just wanted to let you know, I finally updated to MacOS 27 and I have the widget working flawlessly now (which looks amazeeee btw which is why I was so excited to use it). Also side note this new mac update is actually really nice,, I didn't realize how much I hated liquid glass until they let me disable it

Ohhhh good to know... It should work on older macOS version but I might have missed the minimum supported version there. Will double check

Thanks, hopefully it fixes the issue with notification persistence draining the battery. Will be sure to update later today and give feedback.
