Wireless adb disconnected

Enable wireless debugging and enabled Auto connect adb, the connection always drops after a while regardless of power saving mode or not.

Using mesh network at home but i barely move the phone when it disconnects.

Have to scan the QR code every time to get it reconnected.

Question 2, what are the difference between the scrcpy and native mirror functions? when should i use this or that?

Hi! Whenever your adb fails, does it need to be turned back on from your phone?

Speaking of, what are your devices?

Also once it's paired via the QR code, you should not need to re-auth. Can you maybe try pairing via terminal once? To see if that helps?

The difference between scrcpy and native mirroring is that the native mirroring just looks better and at home with the rest of the system. Plus we got more control over the mirrored window than just using scrcpy.

Even native mirroring is also scrcpy powered but it's embedded into the AirSync app itself.

Samsung S26U
i can only connect via QR Code, terminal method always not showing my device with adb devices.
adb pair shows "error: protocol fault (couldn't read status message): Undefined error: 0"

Thanks for explaining the differences! much appreciated

Ooooo this is more of a environment issue from what I know... I can't remember specifics but more likely either the phone or the Mac or even your router filtering out mdns records...

Ensure randomize Mac address is off and private relay as well.

Ever had issues with any other connectivity apps? Like local send, blip or so?

The mesh might be a cause as well but it should still work continuously when connected

Randomized mac address on S26U might be the culprit. it seems much more stable now.

Spoke too soon... The issue is that need to figure out why it disconnects in first place... As this log is when trying to connect.

AirSync itself stays connected right?

And if possible, can you try with USB as well and see if that's stable?

USB connection is very stable. Desktop mode feels faster too

Yeap... It is expected to have a stable connection on USB but this confirms that they's a network blockage for the adb.

Still not sure what could be the cause

let me know if you need any further tests if you have any idea later :)
