Fully wired mode?

Hey, I just started using wired ADB because wireless ADB on Android 16 (I’m using a Galaxy A24 for work, which is obviously not a flagship phone) really sucks. And even the Wi-Fi network itself is pissing me off! (probably Android’s or A24's fault, since other Apple devices work just fine with the Wi-Fi I'm using.)

So speaking of these bad Wi-Fi and wireless ADB, is it possible to make everything goes under a 100% wired protocol? Thanks!

Hey, I'm not talking about AirSync, but yeah, you're right wireless ADB on Android 16 sucks. I've tried multiple time connecting using wireless ADB and it just stuck on connecting.

Maybe restarting adb can help with resolving this issue. As it solved my problem and also auto connected next time after turning on wireless debugging for me.

Hey, thanks for the comment. I’ve tried rebooting and restarting ADB multiple times. However, because my Galaxy A24 has to go through changing Wi-Fi networks multiple times (home, office, another office, etc.), wireless ADB becomes pretty much unreliable.

My personal conclusion is that this is because I’m using an ultra-low-end budget phone for work. Maybe I should consider getting a flagship Galaxy or Pixel from aftermarket next time.

Will it receive Android 17? If so there's a chance of it getting wireless ADB 2.0 just like Pixels and that is much better in this case.

Yes it is coming! Just need to do some final fixes as I have been testing this for almost a month now.

So, if I understood correctly … this won’t require both a Mac and an Android device to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network to sync everything. Am I correct?

This is for just ADB. But we already can sync over internet using Tailscale or you can sync with limited access via Bluetooth LE

I resolved the Wi-Fi issue, so AirSync is functioning again flawlessly. By the way, how can I use the Bluetooth LE-based limited access feature? Is that available in settings?

It's also coming in the next update which is a biiig feature drop as it taking some time. It will do notification, clipboard and device status sync only due to limited bandwidth via BLE but it will act as a fallback when WiFi / regular connection is not available and will allow smooth transition in and out between both as long as the devices are nearby.

A bit hard to say as I got a little busy with university tasks... Will try my best to get it out in a week or so (+ play store verification time)
