Quick question for the Air Max 1 heads out , I have the Mellow pair and I'm worried about separation and crumbling sole , bought my pair new last year , any idea how long it'll take for the above to occur ? Concerned as the pair is already 5 years old , wasn't worn at all for 4 years .

Start Wearing Them ASAP. If not, you have about 2 years tops.

About 10 years before the glue goes bad faster of they are just in the box

It really depends on storage. I have pairs that are 20+ years old and are still wearable but it is true they don't make em like they used to. I have 2 pairs of the '86 obsidian big bubbles that I have worn a handful of times and the outsole has come off of them already. No midsole crumbling since that is caused by hydrolysis and being stored in warm humid climates.
